About CIAP

The Clinical Information Access Portal (CIAP) provides online information and resources to support evidence-based practice at the point of care. CIAP is available to all staff working in, or for, the NSW public health system including Visiting Medical Officers. It is also available to students while on clinical placement in a NSW Health facility.

The purpose of CIAP is to facilitate evidence-based practice, improve access to clinical decision support, and improve clinician knowledge, with a view to enhancing the quality of patient care and improving patient outcomes.

CIAP may be accessed from work, from home, or other locations away from your main area of work. To access CIAP away from work a personal CIAP account is required. To create your own account, select ‘My Account’ from CIAP’s top menu and follow the instructions. Note: you need to be on a computer connected to the NSW Health network to create your account.
