Methods of evaluation
Monitoring and evaluation are important aspects of evidence-based practice wherever change is introduced. Ideally these should be built into any project from the start.
This process is part of a cycle where identification and diagnosis of a problem leads to the planning and implementation of change, the evaluation of the impact of the change, and further review to ascertain whether the interventions have been effective. In terms of clinical practice, this process is known as The Clinical Practice Improvement Model for the Plan, Do, Study, Act cycle. [17]
